Waypoint Sign Company was referred to UTS by a young man who completed an internship with us, saw our operations from the inside, and later got a job at Waypoint as a Production Manager.
Waypoint originally brought us in for a 3rd party assessment of their network, email server, security and telephone systems. Many of the systems needed upgrades and after identifying these along with making recommendations for some work-process improvements, UTS was asked to bid the upgrade project.
Our bid consolidated what was originally two physical hosts and 4 servers, into one physical box with growth capacity for the foreseeable future and high-speed SSD storage. We migrated Waypoint's email Exchange email server to Microsoft's Office 365 hosting environment, configured a new Firewall, backup system and a modern-era schema Domain Controller; while maintaining support for legacy-generation PCs that controlled their industry-specific plotters, printers, and cutters.
Following these upgrades, the customer elected to engage UTS in our ProActive Maintenance Plan to provide ongoing network monitoring and support. Waypoint Sign Company has been a referenceable client for UTS since May of 2017.
